Check out the questions below to see if they help with your query.

Q. I have a disability - can I get free travel?

A. You might be able to get free travel with the county and district councils' Gold Card (opens in a new window) scheme. Even if you do not qualify for free travel you could still get half fare when you leave full-time education.

Contact Call Derbyshire on 08 456 058 058 for more information about Gold Card.

Q. I live more than 3 miles from my school, can I get free transport to school?

A. If you go to your nearest appropriate school you may be entitled to free home to school travel. You can find out more by calling your area education office. Call 08 456 058 058 for the number of your local office.

Q. What happens if I lose my card?

A. Although your first b_line card is free, if you damage or lose your card there's a £5 charge every time you replace it. If you stay in full-time education and need a new card around your 17th birthday because yours has expired, that's free!

If you need a new card you can:

  • Ask at your school or college when b_line cards will next be issued
  • Visit the b_line website where you can download an application form
  • Call 08 456 058 058 and we'll send you a form
  • Pick up an application form at any library.
