Get running
b_liners are invited by the organisers of a charity relay race to get a team together, get their running shoes on and raise cash for Cancer Research UK.
Swanwick Relay For Life takes place at Swanwick Hall School in Derby Road at Swanwick, near Alfreton. The race starts on Saturday, August 22 at 10am and teams take it in turns to run part of a relay that will last for 24 hours.
Teams of five to 15 people are urged to sign up and start getting sponsors. Teams can be made up of b_liners, friends or family of any age.
The organisers describe the race as “unique”, with all sorts of entertainment, activities and ceremonies also taking place.
