New b_line cards are now library cards too!

If you have just received a new b_line card this term – whether it’s your first card or you’ve swapped your old b_line1 for a b_line2 card – find out more about using it as a library card.

You probably already know about all the great discounts you can get with your card, but did you know that your new b_line card can now be used as a library card? You should have received a colourful little leaflet with your card like the one above (if you didn't, ask at your school) with details of three great offers you can take advantage of when you use your new card at the library.

It’s really simple to do. Just take your card to any Derbyshire or Derby City library. When you’ve decided what you want to borrow, hand it to the library assistant. The assistant will take a few contact details (nothing to worry about – they just use these to recognise your card in the future), and then scan your card and it’s ready for use. Easy!

And if you take your special offers leaflet with you, you could walk away with more than just books. The three offers include:

- A free prize draw with 12 chances to win £20 in book tokens.
- A free limited edition b_line card wallet (while stocks last – so don’t hang about!).
- A free CD, DVD or PS2 game hire (at selected libraries).
