There are some rules about how you can use your card. They are listed below and you can also check whether you can use your card on the buses you use.
We've listed all the rules below, and you can also check whether the bus route you use is within the rules.

Travel anywhere within Derbyshire and to some nearby towns and cities as long as the journey starts or finishes in Derbyshire and is on a direct bus route.
There are also some places outside Derbyshire where you can travel to and from with your card:
Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Ashton Under Lyne, Beeston, Burton upon Trent, Hucknall, Hyde, Leek, Leicester, Loughborough, Macclesfield, Manchester, Mansfield, Meadowhall, Nottingham, Sheffield, Stockport, Uttoxeter, Worksop.
You must use a direct bus, for example:
If you get on a bus in Derby and go straight to Meadowhall you'll get a cheaper fare, you can't jump off in Sheffield city centre and then catch another bus to Meadowhall (well, you can, but you won't get the cheaper fare)!
Below is a list of most of the buses in Derbyshire. Just type in your bus number or name (e.g 43, "V3", "Pronto") and see if your route appears in the list below. If it does, you’re good to go.
If you can’t find the bus you want, visit travelineastmidlands.co.uk.
You can travel between any station in Derbyshire for a cheaper fare, so long as you use one of the main train companies (CrossCountry Trains, East Midlands Trains and Northern Rail)
And like on buses, you can travel to some places outside Derbyshire:
Attenborough, Beeston, Bulwell, Burton upon Trent, Hazel Grove, Hucknall, Kirkby in Ashfield, Manchester (Piccadilly), Mansfield, Meadowhall, Newstead, Nottingham, Sheffield, Stockport, Sutton Parkway, Tutbury and Hatton, Uttoxeter, Worksop
And also these rail stations between Derbyshire and Manchester:
Ardwick, Ashburys, Gorton, Fairfield, Guide Bridge, Hyde North, Hyde Central, Woodley, Belle Vue, Reddish North, Brinnington, Bredbury, Romiley, Marple, Levenshulme, Heaton Chapel, Davenport, Broadbottom, Middlewood, Disley.
And just like on the buses, you must use a direct route.
There is one exception! You can hop on and off at any of these stations between Worksop and Nottingham on the Robin Hood line: Worksop, Whitwell,Creswell, Langwith, Shirebrook, Mansfield, Sutton Parkway, Kirkby in Ashfield, Newstead, Hucknall, Bulwell and Nottingham.
If your station doesn’t have a ticket office or if it is closed, you can use your card to buy a ticket in the train. But if you can buy a ticket at a ticket office, you need get one before you get on the train or you might end up paying full fare.
Our advice, get there early and work out whether you need a ticket in advance or not.
