PASS stands for Proof of Age Standards Scheme and cards with this logo can be used as a guarantee to traders that you are old enough to buy age-restricted goods. This includes things like alcohol, knives, solvents, lottery tickets and fireworks.
b_line is not trying to spoil your fun and stop you from getting things that you’re entitled to buy. But recent changes in the law mean that you now have to be older to buy some things than you did before.
We’re just helping to cut out any confusion and make sure that b_liners and traders are not mistakenly trying to buy or sell things that they shouldn’t.
b_line2 cards that were issued before September 2008 do not display the PASS hologram. Although they show your birth date they are not recognised as an identity card so you cannot use them to prove your age.
PASS only applies to b_line2 cards, not b_line1.
